Training sometimes takes a back seat in tough economic times, but not at Warren Partners. Building on an experienced team of three practitioners, the company has invested in a major programme to train a further ten consultants and researchers in using the highly-regarded and innovative Saville Consulting WAVE personality profiling tools.

"Having experienced personally the depth of insight provided by WAVE, I was keen to use the tools internally for recruitment and development purposes," explains Managing Director Joëlle Warren. "We found the insight into motive and talent, and guidance around culture fit, particularly helpful.

"The benefits of WAVE to our own business prompted us to invest in training the team, so that we can now make the service available to our clients for use in assessment and selection, and to our candidates as part of our candidate services product, which is being received very positively."

The range of assessment tools provided by Warren Partners includes WAVE Styles questionnaires and Aptitude Assessment, both designed specifically for use with senior managers, directors and professionals.

WAVE Styles delivers an understanding of an individual’s personality, talent, motives, competencies and preferred culture. It links motivational drivers to capability, and measures culture fit at an individual and workplace level. Aptitude Assessment assesses critical reasoning through verbal, numerical and diagrammatic analysis.

Adds Operations Director Vicky Lawton: "The WAVE Styles approach is very different from traditional psychometric questionnaires. It provides insight into individual learning orientation and engaging with others through networking activities. The easy to use online tools capture a significant level of information, which allows a detailed match with clients' competency frameworks. The results also help to predict future performance in key areas.

"Both clients and candidates are benefiting from this additional dimension to the selection process, and we are also using WAVE to support the ongoing development of our clients' existing teams."
