Mike Penny reports an increase in demand for flexible working in North West Business Insider
In April 2007, North West Business Insider quoted Mike Penny, Director at Warren Partners. The article looked at the different ways in which organisations are integrating flexible working practices into their culture and highlighted how seriously employers should be taking this issue if they wish to avoid ending up on the wrong side of the law.
Mike Penny reported an increase in demand for flexible working among senior executives. He went on to comment that for those at senior level with responsibility for devising, implementing and driving their company’s strategy, however, the practicalities of flexible working can be trickier to negotiate.
He said: "Organisations have a responsibility to treat all of their employees equally, which means offering the same benefits regardless of career level. The onus is, therefore, on the business to find ways of integrating flexible working into the senior executive’s role."
