Karen Jones appears in Real FD
On 29 October 2007, Karen Jones, Finance Director at Warren Partners, appeared in Real FD, discussing the modelling system she created for the business.
Karen said: "I trained with Price Waterhouse, worked with Ernst & Young and have very good Excel spreadsheet skills.
"When I looked at packages it was easier to have a bespoke one, which I've tailored over the years. For us, a bespoke system works great. That's just the way we do it.
"We've got very good financial systems and forecasting procedures in place. We get management accounts ten days from month-end.
"We have a tracker for sales revenue going forward and good control of overheads. It's good housekeeping, basically."
