Tim Kemp explains the merits of MBAs to the Manchester Evening News

On 24th July 2008, Tim Kemp, one of the Directors at Warren Partners, explained to the Manchester Evening news the advantages and disadvantages of studying for an MBA on an individual’s career.

He said: "The value of the MBA does depend on a number of variables. MBA students typically get what they pay for, and the better quality MBAs tend to result from the more expensive courses. The quality of the MBA will also be affected by factors such as whether the learning is long distance or full-time residential.

"While an MBA with clout can give a candidate an edge over a less qualified candidate, employers are increasingly focusing on softer skills and whether or not candidates have the potential to gel with the culture of the business."
