Mike Davis - Non-Executive Chair

"In business, I have yet to find an adequate substitute for experience."

An established senior professional with an enviable track record in accounting and corporate finance, Mike has practical knowledge of a wide range of sectors, including media and professional services, and extensive experience as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman.

Mike spent his professional career with Ernst & Young and, as a Partner, created departments in Manchester specialising in business advisory services and corporate finance and then managed the firm's Liverpool office. After 30 years in the accounting profession he took board appointments with a number of private companies including the Merseyside Special Investment Fund, a pioneer in raising and delivering private/public funding to SMEs.

Currently, Mike is the non-executive Chairman of three othergroups of companies - PMI Health Group, a healthcare insurance intermediary, Unique Communications Group, a provider of services in public affairs, communication consultancy, TV production and media sales, and Driver Group plc, a specialist in dispute resolution in the construction industry which has been recently listed on AIM.

He is Deputy Chairman of North West Vision, the region's film and TV agency, and a Governor of The Manchester Grammar School. Mike was also the founder of the Business in the Community sponsored ProHelp Group in Liverpool, which linked community projects with donated professional expertise, and, for 12 years, a judge on Granada TV's Flying Start business competition.
