Two leading figures from the executive search world are the latest recruits to join the growing Warren Partners team.
Christophe Mille moves from Korn/Ferry International's London office, where he headed the European Energy Practice for its Solutions business, along with colleague Greg Morgan who was a consultant in the group's Consumer Practice.
A computer science graduate, Christophe began his career with global advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather in Hong Kong. Returning to the UK, he then joined the industrial team at pan-European executive search firm, Farn Williams.
After joining Korn/Ferry in 2005, Christophe carried out industry assignments for clients across Europe, Africa, Russia/CIS and Asia. He went on to specialise in the natural resources sector, serving large and mid-cap clients across oil & gas and mining & metals.
Promotion to head the European Energy Practice prompted Christophe to study for an Executive Masters in Energy Management degree in Oslo and Paris, which he completed in 2009. A fluent French speaker, he enjoys rowing and wine-tasting in his free time.
"I struck an immediate chord with the Warren Partners team," said Christophe. "They are very focused and operate in a collegiate environment, which means both clients and candidates have a consistent experience whichever team they work with. The consultancy is a genuine challenger brand to the larger executive search firms, and I'm particularly impressed by the depth of specialist knowledge available to clients."
"Working with colleagues in the Industrial Practice at Warren Partners will be an exciting challenge. I'm keen to play my part in developing the international client base, building on the strong reputation and heritage of the team."
Fellow new director Greg Morgan was an officer in the British Army from 1993 to 2004. He served in a range of UK and overseas posts, which included responsibility for operational deployment, training and team-building, logistics and liaison with civilian and military authorities.
On leaving the Army, Greg joined HSBC on a fast-track programme to train ex-forces personnel in commercial banking. He then became a project manager specialising in health and defence PFI projects at consultancy Cyril Sweett before joining a former Army colleague in the executive search sector.
Greg moved from Stanton Chase International, where he developed a practice recruiting for industrial process management roles for consumer clients in the manufacturing, chemicals, food, FMCG and resources sectors. From 2010 he led the Consumer Practice team at Korn/Ferry Futurestep, placing candidates in UK and global executive roles at retail, manufacturing and food companies.
"Warren Partners have a good reputation in the executive search market for doing things differently, so I was delighted to be approached to join the team," explained Greg. "There's a strong sense that everyone is heading in the same direction, with a very clear vision of how they want to work with clients and candidates."
He added: "I'm really looking forward to being part of the Retail & Consumer team, and having a very hands-on role in driving the business forward. It's the ideal opportunity for me at this stage in my career."
A keen sportsman, Greg enjoys tennis, squash, shooting, running and scuba diving.
Welcoming the new recruits, Managing Director Vicky Lawton said: "We are delighted to attract two such high calibre individuals. As a boutique search consultancy, we offer a very different approach to clients and it's one which also has great resonance with potential recruits to our team. Christophe and Greg will play an important role in our ambitious growth plans, and everyone is really pleased to have them on board."
