Joëlle was inspired to set up Warren Partners in the belief that you can succeed in business without losing in life, behaving ethically and treating others as you want to be treated. These values are just as palpable in the business today as they were then in 1999.

As Executive Director and Board Member, Joëlle leads chair and non-executive director searches across various sectors. Her passion for improving boardroom effectiveness through the right balance of skills, diversity and experience has led to her involvement in a number of key industry initiatives. She was part of the group that worked with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to develop the Voluntary Code of Practice for executive search firms, addressing gender diversity on boards, as well as contributing to the Hampton Alexander Review and FTSE Women Leaders to put this into practice. Joëlle is proud that Warren Partners is one of just eleven search firms meeting the exacting requirements of the code for our work supporting and appointing women onto boards in the FTSE 350. On behalf of the firm, Joëlle is a founder signatory to the Change the Race Ratio initiative. She is a regular speaker on the business benefits of diversity and received an MBE in 2016 for Services to Business.

Joëlle serves as His Majesty’s Vice-Lord Lieutenant for Cheshire and a non-executive director on the board of Chester Race Company. In 2019 she was appointed by the Prime Minister to chair the Crown Nominations Commission for the appointment of the Archbishop of York. In addition, she was the Founding Chair of Cheshire Community Foundation and Deputy Chair of the North West Business Leadership Team.

Joëlle’s drive and enthusiasm extends to leisure activities, from qualifying as a ski instructor, walking the Camino di Santiago and Tour de Mont Blanc with her husband, to charity cycling adventures with colleagues in Vietnam, China, Cuba and Tanzania.
